Cavour — overview

Cavour station — Rome underground

Cavour opened on 10 February 1955, the day after the rest of the first section, and until 1990 it was simply called Via Cavour. It serves the Monti district, the oldest in Rome and now one of its liveliest, with streets of small shops and osterie. A few minutes away are San Pietro in Vincoli, with Michelangelo's Moses, and the Imperial Fora.
