Piramide — overview
Piramide is named after the Pyramid of Cestius, the first-century BC Roman tomb built into the Aurelian Walls beside Porta San Paolo. The station, like nearby Ostiense, is an example of Fascist-era architecture: designed by Marcello Piacentini, with simple geometry and a facing of white travertine slabs. It belongs to the first section of 9 February 1955 and is the interchange with the Roma-Lido railway and with Roma Ostiense station.
