Garbatella — overview

Garbatella station — Rome underground

Garbatella serves one of the best-loved districts in Rome, founded in 1920 as a garden suburb and still made of lots, staircases and shared courtyards. The present station is at surface level and opened in 1990, replacing the 1955 one about 200 metres away, which was entered from piazza Giancarlo Vallauri. Service at this point on Line B nevertheless goes back to the first section of 9 February 1955.
