Termini — overview
Termini is the centre of the network: Line A and Line B meet here, and above sits the largest railway station in Italy. It is also where the story begins: construction started in 1938-39, stopped with the war and resumed afterwards, and on 9 February 1955 Termini opened as the terminus of the only metro section Rome then had, the one out to the EUR district. The Leonardo Express to Fiumicino and regional trains across Lazio leave from here.
