Vittorio Emanuele — overview

Vittorio Emanuele station — Rome underground

Vittorio Emanuele serves piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, the large arcaded square in the Esquilino district, with its gardens, the covered market on via Turati and one of the most multicultural areas of Rome. The station belongs to the 1980 first section: underground, with the tracks in two separate tunnels. It is one of the central Line A stops that have seen repeated closures in recent years while lifts and escalators were rebuilt — the most recent reopening was on 20 August 2026. Before planning to get off here it is always worth checking service status on ATAC's channels.
