Torre Angela — overview

Torre Angela station — Rome underground

Torre Angela is newer than its neighbours: it was built during the modernisation of the Grotte Celoni–Torrenova stretch of the Rome–Pantano line, which began on 26 August 1999 and finished on 2 October 2005. With the conversion into a metro it became part of Line C on 9 November 2014. It serves a populous eastern district, close to the Tor Vergata hospital.
