Cipro — overview

Cipro station — Rome underground

Cipro is recognisable by its entrance, which opens onto a sunken plaza about four metres below street level. It was inaugurated on 29 May 1999 with the extension from Ottaviano to Valle Aurelia. Until 2007 it was called Cipro-Musei Vaticani: that suffix later moved to Ottaviano, now Ottaviano-S. Pietro-Musei Vaticani. The Vatican Museums are still within easy reach from Cipro.
