EUR Magliana — overview

EUR Magliana station — Rome underground

EUR Magliana existed before the metro: it was a station on the Roma-Lido railway, called Magliana-Mercato Nuovo, and it served as a freight yard. With the Line B works it was absorbed into the metro network and entered service with the first section on 9 February 1955. It is still an interchange with the railway to Ostia.
