Bolognetta is one of the eastern-branch stops inherited from the old railway: closed on 7 July 2008 for conversion works, it reopened as a Line C station on 9 November 2014. It serves a low-density residential area between Borghesiana and Finocchio, in the eastern suburbs beyond the ring road.
