EUR Fermi — overview

EUR Fermi station — Rome underground

EUR Fermi opened on 9 February 1955 under the name Esposizione Est, inaugurated by the then President of the Republic Luigi Einaudi along with the first Laurentina–Termini section. It sits below street level on viale America, with the two tracks in the middle and the platforms on either side. It serves the EUR district, the piece of rationalist Rome designed for the 1942 exhibition and finished after the war.

Towards Laurentina both the B and the B1 stop here: taken together, on a weekday a train runs every 3–6 minutes (241 a day), not every 9 as each row on its own suggests.

Departure times from this stop, not from the terminals. When the metro closes, the nMB · nMB1 night buses take over.
